So, here's the deal. People can be a little...I'm not even sure what the word is.
Here's the story:
I'm sitting in auditions behind the table, watching as people audition and stuffing my face with Combos and Chex Mix. This was, I regret to admit, my dinner. (I am aware of how atrocious this is but I had to run from class to auditions and had no time...I know. No excuse.) So, quickly, between actors, I whip out my insulin pen and proceed to give a shot. Lucky me, Sachin, our assistant director and resident moron is sitting next to me.
The moment we had a break he began making ignorant jokes about him being willing to follow me around and have my insulin at the ready and jump in and save me. "Oh haha...so thats not really funny..or accurate at all" Then he continues that he could jump out and stab the insulin in my neck in the middle of my little emergency. I respond "dude, thats really not how it works. Let it go" Then he continues. I'm far too irritated and tired at this point to correct him.
I'm usually very into educating morons like this but, alas, I wasn't in the mood. So I just ignored him.
Our next break he brings me a box of Fig Newtons. He tries to make me eat them. Did I ask for food? No. Is it as funny as he thinks it is? No. Do I have to work with him everyday for the next month and a half? Yes.
At least he hasn't mentioned an inability to hold babies...yet.
On a totally random note, I went on a date with a guy who, when I asked if it was cool if I just gave a shot at the table told me "it won't bother me. I worked in a funeral home." Well. OK. Guess I won't freak this one out.
